We were having an unofficial photo contest for the night, and I think I pretty much won with the coolest still shot of my coffee...

So, you gonna win a humility contest?

technically a humility contest is virtually non-existent because a contest implies pride, which goes directly against the flow of humility. (that's a light answer masking years of struggling with various forms of pride that always seem to crop up in different sin patterns.)

I know. It was a joke. You know, I'm the humblest person I know. :p

I have to confess to having a "thing" for steel band music. The Indianapolis Children's Museum had a display where they had some steel pans marked with the notes, and you could play your own tunes. It was waay cool. I'd have one of my own, but they are bulky and expensive. Thanks for putting up that link!

ok,ok, you're joking with the girl who has no sense of humor, remember?? : ) Yeah, I kindof fell in love with steel drum music, weird as that may be

Intersting banter, G and E...If he gives you too much lip, Elisabeth, I'll practice my self-defense on him. I could use some practice. Heh Heh.

Yes that was a very good and professional photo - especially compared to the pictures I take. Did you ever see my horrible Mississipi pictures I took on that awful "digital" camera? Pretty amusing. But my Cameroon pix were the worst - I had to throw so many out because I got dust in my camera. Now that's a lesson in humility.

thanks, guys. Yeah, I can't let all of my Francais go to waste. :)

don't worry Lea, I'll keep you posted...I haven't really seen your pictures, but as I recall, you had some pretty horrible cameras, so you can't quite blame it all on the photographer. :)) (that's a smily-face with a double chin.)

p.s. in case anyone was wondering, the smily-face does not represent anyone I know, nor was it designed to imply anything!
