Help?

I was wondering if anyone had any good verses for proving that God the Father = God the Son = God the Spirit. I know that basically all of John proves that God=Jesus and I know that in Acts 6 (I think) it talks about lying to the Spirit and then lying to God and how that's the same, and I know that at the end of 2 Cor., there is a trinitarian (sp.?) benediction, but are there more verses?? If anyone can help me out that would be great. I want to be as prepared as possible for the next time someone tells me that the Bible never actually says right out that there is a Trinity.

Good question E.. We will have to spend some time on this one in SMT. I'll let Steve know.
Did you get confronted at school on this?

I know that I have talked with Steve about this before and we have spent some time on it. It came up with that Jehovah's witness girl that I talked with last year. I've gotten fragmented answers, but not a comprehensive one. Maybe what has already been said is the major points. I'm really just curious.

I think there probably is not a verse or even one passage that proves the trinity. Probably need to put together a collection of passages. Good project. I'll get right on it.... someday. :-)

Yeah...I'd like to add to my small (but powerful) collection

Romans 8:9-11 seems to use the three concepts together very fluidly.
Ephesians 4:4-7 really stresses the Oneness of, well.. everything.

I like this approach too:
God as Creator:
Genesis 1
Christ as Creator:
John 1
Spirit as Creator:
Job 33:4

Father as Sanctifier:
Jude 1:1
Christ as Sanctifier:
Hebrew 2:11
Spirit as Sanctifier:
1 Peter 1:2

I have this handy reference book that lists about a dozen other qualities, or titles of God, and shows how each person of the Trinity owns that title. I think the Creator example is the best, because logically there can only be one creator for a creation. If we're speaking purely intellectually, I suppose it could be argued that there could be multiple Sanctifiers. But I'm confident that Bible at least hints at the idea there can only be one way to eternal life (One of the cheif ends of Sanctification)
Concordances and similar reference books are a wonderful delight when grapling with issues like this for folks who like me, are not as well-versed in the Scriptures. You can get one for under $20, if it doesn't get on your birthday wish list.
