John 11

Lately our church has been studying John and most recently John 11. (The dead and resurrection of Lazarus.)

This passage is so encouraging to me because it shows how Jesus comes and meets us, we don't have to rise up to some unreachable level to meet Him. He responded to Martha and Mary in the way that each of them needed most. That's really cool.

you'd think that I would recognize your initials, but it isn't that obvious to me. I call you dad, not by your name...

I love this chapter.. I use it a lot for a visual of the gospel:
God word came in and made me alive!!!!

Can't wait to have ch 12 preached tomorrow.

Hey lyz,
I do agree with you; chapter 11 is incredibly encouraging (though my favorite passage is John 8:31-58--I just LOVE the verse "Before Abraham was, I AM!")! How when Christ speaks, it is done. ( or rather, when Christ calls someone, they cannot deny his calling)
John has got to be one of my favorite books of the Bible!! See ya tomorrow night!
